Celebrating FCTG's 40th Birthday

Celebrating FCTG’s 40th Birthday

This year marks a special occasion for our parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group, not only in Australia but in suburban strips, shopping malls and office blocks globally, where our company operates. In 1982, 40 years ago, the first Flight Centre store opened the doors to customers in Sydney.

FCTG’s 40th birthday milestone is an acknowledgement of our Australian roots. And the birth of the iconic red and white leisure travel brand that became the catalyst for the company’s global success and brand diversification.

After being in business for four decades, FCTG consists of more than 30 corporate, retail and leisure travel brands and employs thousands of people globally.

Corporate Traveller entered FCTG’s journey in 1993. Corporate Traveller was launched to manage the business travel needs of small-to-medium sized enterprises.

Corporate Traveller now has offices across a global network that spans Australia, Canada, USA, UK, South Africa and New Zealand. The brand is a key contributor to the ongoing strength of FCTG’s corporate travel division and next year will celebrate its own anniversary marking 30 years in business.

To be part of the FCTG family brings business stability and longevity, as well as a wealth of travel industry experience, travel product and customer knowledge.

But rather than us tell you about our journey so far, watch this fun, three-minute video ‘40 Years of Taking Off’, which captures all the milestones.
