Celebrating International Women’s Day 2020

Females smiling for International Women's Day
This year's International Women's Day, we're celebrating both women and creating a gender equal world. Women’s Day is an international day to recognise the incredible contributions womankind are making in the world. The 2020 theme, #EachforEqual, supports the idea that an equal world is an enabled world.  Both the men and women in Corporate Traveller are showing their support for International Women's Day 2020.

So what is International Women’s Day?

International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8. The day has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911.

The day is not country, group or organisation specific - and belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.

IWD is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

2020’s Theme - Each for Equal

International Women's Day 2020 campaign theme is #EachforEqual

An equal world is an enabled world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.

Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world. Let's all be #EachforEqual.

IWD 2020 sees a number of MISSIONS to help forge a gender equal world. Celebrating women's achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is key. Read more about the missions below:
