Air New Zealand December 2025 Status Points Offer
Terms and Conditions
To be an "Eligible Participant", the participant must be an Air New Zealand Airpoints™ member, New Zealand resident and purchase an Air New Zealand operated flight or qualifying partner airline flight during the promotion period. An "Eligible Booking" is a booking made during the promotion period on an "Eligible Flight". For the purpose of this promotion "Eligible Flight" means an Air New Zealand operated flight (with an Air New Zealand flight number on the ticket) on an New Zealand Domestic or International ticket where Status Points are normally earned. Standard rules and agreements around bookings for groups, entities or Government groups for Status Points earn rate restrictions also apply for this promotion. Air New Zealand flights operated by Wamos Air for Air New Zealand will also be eligible for this offer. Any other flight with a NZ flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Air New Zealand including, but not limited to United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Air China will not be eligible for this offer except for those specifically identified below. "Standard Status Points" is the number of Status Points you will earn for the route and booking class of your flight. This information will be displayed at the top of the booking page when you select your flights.
Qualifying flights include:
Cathay Pacific flights between Auckland and Hong Kong, and Christchurch and Hong Kong.
United flights between Auckland and Los Angeles, Auckland and San Francisco, and Christchurch and San Francisco.
Air China flights between Auckland and Beijing.
The 2x Status Points promotion commences at 12.01am, 1 December and ends 11.59pm, 3 December 2025. Eligible flights made during this booking period are for the travel period of 1 December to 21 Nov 26 (Travel Period). Any flight bookings made after the promotion end date or for flights outside the Travel Period will be ineligible for the 2x Status Points offer. Any flight bookings made after the promotion end date, or for flights outside the travel period of 1 December 2025 to 21 November 2026, will be ineligible for the 2x Status Points offer.
All dates and times are in NZST.
To qualify for the 2x Status Points offer, an Eligible Participant must:
(a) have their correct Airpoints number associated to their booking, and
(b) make an Eligible Booking on an Eligible Flight
(c) have their country of residence as "New Zealand" in their Airpoints account.
All Eligible Participants who make a booking that meets the above criteria will have two times (2x) the Standard Status Points earn rate for the booked product and booking class credited to their Airpoints Account within 8 weeks after travel has been completed. The Standard Status Point earn rate for your selected route(s) will be displayed during the booking process.
Reward Flights paid using Airpoints Dollars™, bookings in conjunction with Airpoints Reward classes (X, I), travel industry classes (N,R), free tickets and prize competition tickets are not eligible to earn Status Points.
Paying for your booking with a charge, credit or debit card incurs a percentage-based fee that differs by card type.
New deals may be released at any time.
If you cancel your Eligible Booking, the 2x Status Points offer will not apply.
Any changes to bookings will only qualify for 2x Status Points if all the below criteria are met:
(a) the original booking was made within the eligible booking period of 1 December 2025 to 3 December 2025
(b) the new travel dates are still within the eligible travel period of 1 December 2025 to 21 November 2026
(c) the new flight is an Eligible Flight operated by Air New Zealand or a qualifying partner airline
The 2x Status Points offer cannot be converted into cash and is not transferable.

ANZ Airpoints Visa Platinum and ANZ Visa Business Airpoints card holders will earn as follows:
- ANZ 50% bonus based on the Standard Status Points earn rate
- plus, 2x Status Points based on the Standard Status Points earn rate only, which results in a 250% effective earn rate.
The 2x Status Points applies only to the Standard Status Points earn. You will not receive the 2x Status Points on the additional 50% earned from your ANZ Platinum Airpoints Credit Card.
All bookings must be new to be eligible. Any new segments added to an existing passenger name record (PNR) during the promotional period will not be eligible. Existing PNR for the purpose of this promotion means a PNR booked before 1 December 2025. Bookings made using flight credits issued prior to 1 December 2025 are eligible for this offer. Flight credits issued on or after 1 December 2025 will not be eligible for this offer. Bookings made using eligible flight credits must be made during the booking window of 12.01am, 1 December 2025 to 11.59pm, 3 December 2025. Any bookings made using flight credits outside of this window will not be eligible.
Air New Zealand reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion at any time, including for reasons beyond its reasonable control, such as technical issues, fraud, or force majeure.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Promotion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
