The Travel Challenge
Prior to embarking on their relationship with Corporate Traveller, OfficeMax used internal resources to book their travel. Being a global company, they had staff regularly requiring air travel, hotel accommodation and car hire. The OfficeMax team were trying to juggle their regular duties as well as booking all travel. A lack of systemised booking procedures meant a lot of time was spent researching and booking travel. It soon became apparent that the system was neither effective nor efficient. Along with the time challenges, OfficeMax also struggled with the limitations of not having access to detailed reports as and when they were required. This meant that keeping track of their peoples travel movements was complicated and it was difficult to capture the necessary data to make effective cost savings in the future.
Since bringing an expert on board, OfficeMax has worked closely with Corporate Traveller to create effective solutions to their challenges and ensure their business needs were met. Firstly, a dedicated travel manager was appointed to oversee OfficeMax’s account and to deliver a personal travel management service. Alongside this, the team at OfficeMax were also set up with Corporate Traveller’s proprietary online booking system. The system provides OfficeMax the flexibility to manage all of their travel needs online when and where they need, with the support of their dedicated travel manager every step of the way. The easy-to-use booking system promotes compliance, drives efficiency and captures all booking data. The system’s reporting function also provides OfficeMax with the much-needed reports they were lacking. They can now receive comprehensive management information reports on their travel patterns, spend and missed savings, which has assisted greatly to identify where further savings can be made.
